BHSCC 2019 Season Race #3
For the thrill-seeking dads, the Black Hills Sports Car Club is hosting a racing event at the Central States Fairgrounds just in time for Father’s Day! This race is open to the public and free for spectators looking to catch the excitement of cars racing around the track. If the special guy in your life races cars and would like to participate in this exciting event, it is only $25 to join in on the race. The race starts at noon and is centrally located in Rapid City, only five minutes away from the Quality Inn. Bluegrass Music Festival
The 39th Annual Black Hills Bluegrass Festival has everything for the dad who believes music makes everything better. This one-of-a-kind music festival is taking place at Rush No More RV Resort and Campground June 14-16, and is a family friendly event where you’ll spend the weekend surrounded by tasty food and great music. Tickets can be purchased for a single show or for the whole weekend, and children under 12 get in free! Performances are scheduled to start at 6:30pm on Friday, and will run all day on Saturday and Sunday. D.C. Booth Fish Hatchery
Every year on the third Sunday in June, the D.C. Booth Fish Hatchery in Spearfish, SD hosts and caters the annual Father’s Day Brunch dedicated to all of the hard-working and valued dads! In addition to a delicious brunch prepared by Ruby’s Garden, there will also be an interactive scavenger hunt taking place throughout the hatchery grounds. After the scavenger hunt is completed, it can be brought to the Pond Shop to receive a free cup of fish food to get up close and personal with the hatchery’s fish. The scavenger hunt is free, with Father’s Day brunch costing only $15 for adults and $12 for children. Events start at 9am and end at noon, so take the 45 minute drive to the D.C. Booth Fish Hatchery this Father’s Day! Make the most out of your trip by taking a cruise through Spearfish Canyon afterwards, which is chock full of scenic fishing opportunities.
